Diet culture IS the problem. 

The constant bombardment of messages — about dieting and weight loss, about ideal bodies and how to achieve them, and even about wellness and health — are the problem! 

The scientific fact that 95% of diets DO NOT WORK over the long term IS the problem!

If the Covid vaccine was only 5% effective, would you get the shot and expect it to protect you? Of course not! So why do we keep dieting in spite of the lack of efficacy?

I’m here to tell you, there’s a better way. It’s called Intuitive Eating and I can help you learn how to do it!

INTUITIVE EATING OVERVIEW

Intuitive Eating is an internally focused, compassionate, self-care framework that promotes holistic health - good health in the body, the mind, and the soul — and treats all bodies with dignity and respect.  Intuitive Eating helps you re-connect to the inner cues your body provides about what, when, and how much to eat.  

Intuitive Eating is the polar opposite of diet culture, which attempts to focus on external measures (like telling you how you should look and what, when, and how much to eat).

Diet culture has disconnected you from your internal “food compass” and eating intuitively helps you find your “True North” setting, pointing you toward yourself instead of diet culture.

THE POWER OF INTUITIVE EATING

Are you interested in taking a deep dive into Intuitive Eating? Would you like to learn to put Intuitive Eating principles into practice?

In this six-session class, we will:

  • Expand our knowledge of 1-2 principles per class through lecture and discussion

  • Complete exercises designed to anchor the concepts behind each principle

  • Set weekly goals and plans for individual practice

  • Discuss individual challenges, problem solve, and offer support

  • Celebrate our Intuitive Eating breakthroughs and successes
